Another Dog Died

Postby Keyboard Warrior 21 » Tue Mar 09, 2010 11:47 am

We lost or 2 year old welsh Corgi, Sunday. He dove into the ocean after a stick, on the second time in he came out of the water and collapsed. He also fainted once this winter when we had alot of snow and I was able to revive him.My vet says he probably had an undiagnosed heart problem.Of course I blame myself for throwing the stick in the water .. it was 40 degrees, but from everything I read That wouldn't necessarily cause him to have a heart attack.at any rate I still feel responsible. So these few days have sucked.Cant sleep or eat, let alone do a workout.

It amazes me when I read how pro fighters fight anyway after a member of their family passes away.I really dont know how they do it.But that clearly seperates pros from the average Joes.

That's awful. It's hard not to feel guilty, just think of the great life you provided for your dog.
Sorry for your loss, losing a pet is tough. Lost a puppy to parvo, still feel guilty about that.

Lance yea thanks bro.It has been a horrible guilt week, but he was only in the water for a couple minutes it was 40 degrees, we think it was an undiagnosed heart problem because he passed out in the snow once and i Revived him. Then once in the house, he was scheduled for a vet visit ...but it was a warm spring day when we left the house.Who the hell knew..We are picking up a new rescue dog tomorrow.so I need to snap out of this depression. Thanks again

Sorry I missed this post KW...I don't check this section very much. I was going to suggest getting a new dog...hopefully things are better for you man since getting your new dog. The bottom line is that you are obviously a great dog owner that cares tremendously for his pets. I admire you for that. God bless you and your family man. You deserve it. :)

Yea Flashman, we rescued another dog another Welsh Corgi, He cant replace the guy I lost, but they are all special in their own way. There are alot of dogs that need homes. The way the economy is people get rid of their dogs instead of trying to figure out a way to keep their pets. And lets face it dogs = unconditional love. But thank you for your kind thoughts.

OMG KBW.. I am so sorry. They are just the best little companions. I would be devistated. Oneness will need to medicate me when my girl goes... She is my best little friend, so my heart goes out to you.
